ISSUES OF THE 21st CENTURY AFRICAN AMERICAN, “NEW & NOW” – PART ONE

21 lead

Good Monday (You can make it)…Despite gains since World War II and the racial segregation era of “Jim Crow”, our unique racial issues and concerns have changed from racial injustice and “open faced” without recourse. Yet the 21st Century brings with it new issues and some old that hangs on for the African American. All of these concerns and issues are less for the struggle of the African American Millennials. Yes “all”, even police brutality. We have grown and pushed progress in every way. Mass minority incarceration could be debated hard, but for the most part therr are advancements to the credit of the resilient “black race.” The title says “Part One”. Today we post the new/same concerns of the Millennials. We will examine three problems that dog us as a whole. On the part two posting on Wednesday, we deal with concrete solutions. “You know how we do.” We will keep covering this topic in this two pronged approach for the rest of 2017. So here are three of the most pressing issues of the New African American.

Systemic Racism: this is the umbrella of “all” that befalls the African American race in the way of discrimination. The word “Systemic Racism” was made famous in the 60’s during our self-defense movement in our climb out of second-class citizenship to the road of equality. First worded and ushered by Charles Hamilton (not the rapper, the original one). He was a political scientist in the 60s. It was also voiced over and over again by hyper activist, Stokely Carmichael. What is Systemic Racism Really? Its different and more profound than just personal prejudice. Imagine walking into a department store and being followed. Its more to the point of discrimination from institutions, public and private (like Fortune 500 and Bank loans) that effect us on a whole as a race. They make life harsh for all minorities. Black people are not the only ones hurt by the power of Systemic Racism. This form of racism hurts us on a level where the power cripples us on a mass scale. This is whites or power institutions conspiring to prevent our “advancement”. An example is the case of Brown vs Board of Education in 1954. This form of racism is overlooked to those of us on Ground Zero, which are the ghettos and urban slums of the USA. This is what Charles Hamilton confronted on the level of activism we take for granted. This us in our government. Millennials now face this very real problem that is centuries old. A very real example of collective systemic racism is the American justice system. So join us on Wednesday for the solution portion of this post.

21 1
THE ORIGINAL CHARLES HAMILTON OF POLITICAL SCIENCE WHO COINED THE PHRASE “SYSTEMIC RACISM”

Police Brutality: The pain of this disrespect is what young Millennials still deal with daily. The looks we get while passing by a cop. In open streets and even in broad daylight in our communities, the police beat, humiliate, shoot and kill us. Its a show of power for them, an invisible line we all know. This action of “old control” has given birth to self-Defense groups such as the Black Panter Party of the 60’s to toady’s Black Lives Matter. The intimidation of police and the frustration of the people have given violence renewed energy. See the trends of solutions that BlackAwarenessFoundation.com offers. Come be with us on Wednesday.

21 2
WHAT WE SEE WHEN WE’RE ON THE STREETS EVEN IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES

Single Parent Households: What has brought us to the point where single mother households are common? I will tell you as hard as ut may be to hear, “since our introduction to America by slavery, single black mothers are our norm.” There are many different factors, but it’s mainly slavery and targeting black males. These are the fruits of systemic racism giving rise to the factors of today. Disproportionately incarcerating black males exists. Another which affects all races is a lack of respect for sex (mainly youth) and a lack of education of the lifelong responsibilities of sex. Making love is almost a fantasy. Join us while I write solutions to our most pressing problems.

ARE YOU AT WAR WITH LOVE

Love 2Love 1

Good day. We, at the #BlackAwarenessFoundation.com, thank all that have supported us and those of you that are new to us! With this post and the magnitude of it’s subject matter, may “love” never become jaded or nonchalant. The utterance of the word “love” is perhaps the most powerful word and at the same time the most powerful force that man/woman will ever know! Love is the highest level of understanding between man and woman. One might oppose many things like government, policies, wrongs and woes. They may rebel against discrimination, law enforcement, religion, laws and even family. Yet, to war against Love it self or the giving or acceptance of it would be a fight that no one can win nor were you meant to. The pedals of love color the world and lives in us all at birth. The need to receive and give unconditional love is part of the human condition and purpose. Yet, sometimes pain and hate makes one shun or deny love. This post points out the mistake of going to war with love, either in silence by denying your self the comfort of a relationship or to fight loudly from a stance of pain caused by your mistrust in love. This is a struggle I hope you never know. So, here we go…

“This is part of my solution for my people”.

There are many things to go to war against to protect family, land and government. Moral wars, religious wars, civil rights wars… Shit, you could declare war against your inner short comings or war against your inner self for change. It may be as small as your fight against cigarettes or something way bigger. A fight to change your way of thinking and responding, a change of life. War on a more profound level like the Black Lives Matter Movement or a war against the misunderstanding of religious dogma.

But, one cannot go to war against love… it is a fight you cannot win. But, feel where I am coming from, where I am speaking to you from, the part of you that touches the atmosphere of your soul. Many, MANY people try to live lives that aren’t meant for them.

My example that’s easiest for you to identify with is a drug addict, and I mean a real dope addict. Those that dwell in a life where they only live for the next high. Fuck children, family and friends. They are at war with love – fighting family and friends, at war with who they really are and who they were, slowly killing who they could be.

A war with love will only be defeat after defeat until bitterness, self pity and depression remain. Until prison or failed health bring the realization or maybe DEATH WILL BECOME YOU! Could it be that your battle with love gets in the way of your pretending to be someone you are not? How can you be a thug when the love of your mother lives inside of you? Few people are born killers. Life has to be unbearable to become that. Is that really you or have you made yourself that? Forcing yourself to be what you aren’t. Are you really a player? Have you no emotion for the gender that birthed you, the woman who birthed humanity?

…No happiness will you find. There shall be no calm, no exhaling of your struggles…

Sad even more is to be at war with LOVE, the war of the heart. Simply put, we’re supposed to be in love with being in love. Those that manipulate their partner and use their looks, body or money to use others are doomed to never experience true love. Warp your heart to the fruits of true emotions long enough and become desensitized to feelings of what’s REAL.

My mother once said to me “Son, the worst thing that can ever happen to you is to grow old alone”. I believe her.

At war with the rawest feeling we have is the journey of struggle we have to recognize. LOVE is the highest level of connection we have to the universe. It is meant to let us know that we can care so much about something, if it’s near, far or even dead. It over shoots any laws and defies any definition.

Writing for a reason….

RE-EPIDEMIC OF “HEROIN” AS IT RAVISHES MIDDLE AMERICA

I greet you with “Sympathetic” brotherly love if you are the Love One of a person addicted to Heroin. Never give up but a time comes for tough love. The power of the drug is more real to them than the love they have for “Life” their’s or yours. Heroin is a soul-steal’er. Posting to Improve Our Conditions.

her lead

NOW GENERATION MAY HAVE GIVEN IT A NEW NICKNAME “THAT BROWN” BUT ITS DRAIN IS THE SAME.

If you haven’t noticed “Heroin” has reclaimed the spot of “epidemic” boom drug again, pushing back crack, and meth. Opiod have taken the Midwest states like Ohio and even small Northeast states, but Heroin or what there calling in the new spring of Heroin in the Northwest “Brown” After ravishing the east coast from the 60’s and 70’s The reemerging of the drug Heroin-newer, stronger, cheaper. The NEW DEMAND, back in the mid 80’s to as late as 2005. Rock Cocaine was the demand!

Heroin use more than doubled among young adults ages 18-25 in the past 10 years! This is a highly addictive opioid drug. The thing that has given Heroine new life in states and cities without a street connection to Heroine is the new face of Heroine in suburban America. The explosion of prescription drugs like Oxy contin has become a ravaging beast in the least likely corners of America. In places like Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and in Western states like Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. It has touched down in places far from the street corners of America’s ghettos. The explosion has hit the ghettos as well. New, stronger Heroine on the streets, cheaper, rising the “OD” rate to astonishing status.

her 1

NOTHING LOOKS WORST THAN A STRUNG OUT WOMAN…IT JUST SHOWS MORE

THIS IS A FULL BLOWN CRISIS

An estimated $2 million worth of Heroin was trafficked in to states like Vermont and Maine in a week. This is the real crisis. Now middle America is addicted and the customers are young adults age 18-25. Then you got middle American women age 30-45 representing the biggest rise in prescription drug abuse.

But, in the inner cities where this new reemergence took root before spreading out has ravished environments. Eroding inner cities with the same force as crack cocaine did in the 80’s.

In the Mid-west; Chicago has become a hub for cheap, pure and plentiful Heroine. Much of this supplied by Mexican drug cartels.

The streets have broken down the art of street dealing. But, the pure drug they are now getting from Mexico has caused an alarming rate of overdoses. The wait for drug rehab has stretched out to 3 to 6 months for federally funded rehab centers. That’s how you tell what’s popp’in on the streets, what drug is hot on the streets. Wait time in Maine for Heroine addiction is 18 months! The jails are now a secondary rehab holding faculties. Heroine death overdose has quadrupled across the U.S. Even President Obama and the White House recognized the epidemic and introduced a program plan emphasizing treatment rather than prosecution of addicts. They focused on the “high intensity drug trafficking areas” which covered 15 states.

her 2

THEY MAY HAVE YOU THINK WE AS AFRICAN AMERICANS…ARE THE BIGGEST DRUG ABUSERS “BUT”…..

With Heroin, unlike most drugs (except alcohol) it is a physical addiction. Withdrawal could kill you! This mainly new more pure drug has elevated the stakes in this Dope game. It’s a natural progression, the Dope (Heroin) is more potent than in the 70’s. Technology works for other side as well, which makes more money for high and mid level drug dealers. So, competition for territory is ferocious. Small cities or towns in areas not wise to the street hustle and what street dealers call “set shop” have no competition or very little. This means they can increase the price!

Heroin – it does not see color, status or gender. It has come through the ghetto to reclaim its hold as the devil in a bag. It has come to the suburbs and pulled the mask off of any social separation that existed in middle class. The poverty striker.

Solution; The ancient problem of drug addiction is a social and individual problem. At the same time it fuses pleasure with masking pain, a hard thing to fight against. But, the long term solution is REHAB in patient care not prisons’ new lock down treatment. Centers – no bars, no years or time given out, but a completion process! On the other side of the fight, the arrest of El Chapo Guzman. The boss of the biggest, most ruthless Sinaloa Cartel whom supplied 80% of all the drugs in the U.S. Most of that was Heroin. That will do something to curb the import of this pure form of Heroin. There will be a scramble in Mexico to gain that kind of power and control of exports of Heroine. To a man of common sense, I understand that the Government more to the point of the C.I.A and U.S. offices that deal with outside countries have the power to stop most of he import or the true original drug dealers. I know plenty of drug dealers from coast to coast and none of them have boats or planes and are trafficking drugs from other countries. If you think America does not take control of the oil fields and poppy fields to control of the in flow or the lack of flow, they don’t look for weapons of mass destruction. They didn’t give Mexico multi millions for extradition rights because they are concerned for America’s safety. We are the world police, the market for oil and most elicit drugs imported to the U.S.A.

her 4

That’s the true REAL PROBLEM. You can keep putting bandages on bullet wounds, but some how we must address the real problem in your city, your town. Fight drug use with the same fire they’re on!

And I’m dead serious. Like “Heroin” But my high is your Elevation! …and if you need help get it – KJS “Bonded To The Plight Of You. #YoungBlackHistorain copyright 2017

TRUMP SHOWS HIS TRUE COLORS AGAIN AND THEY AIN’T RAINBOW COLORS, 2017

lgbt lead
IF YOU ARE A MINORITY, ANY FORM OF DISCRIMINATION IS OFFENSIVE

Peace and love. Remember the earlier post I did on Tolerance? Trump continues to lie and undermine America. In this division policy there are many mixed emotions, but look deeper than the “gay” position you may have. The core of the issue is discrimination, the same type that crippled the African American race for centuries! This is just an extension of the Muslim ban and open face discrimination of Mexicans in America with a exportation policy like the Nazi regime. Talk about American pride. This is the same man whom is in bed and being supported financially by Russia, whom has been a sworn enemy of democracy for longer than me or you has been alive. Again he pushes that ultra-conservative white 1 percenters. They (conservatives) lost power and control for eight years during the Obama era.

Trump banned Transgender people from the military. Oh I know some people get caught up in their “feelings” about this subject, but I ask you not look at the cover of the book, but the many pages of hateful discrimination of the “powers that be”. These power players have the ability to affect our daily lives. I know family values come into play. Personal opinions come into play. Your environmental attitude comes into play and more importantly, “religious morality” comes into play. So how do you feel about the Transgender Military Ban? This is a shocking current event, but let me give you more info and drop some knowledge on the subject.

lgbt 3
BEWARE OF LEGAL DISCRIMINATION. AFTER THEM WHO YOU THINK THEY WILL USE THIS STEP ON???!!!!

President Donald J. Trump announced Wednesday, 7/26/17, a reinstated ban on transgender individuals from serving “in any capacity” in the U.S. armed forces. This was a ban previously lifted by former president Obama. First he lifted the “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” policy then the Transgender ban and allowed the Transgender community to serve openly in the U.S. military. Trump tweeted on Wednesday “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow…(2nd tweet) “Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military. Our military must focused on decisive overwhelming…(3rd tweet)..”Victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical cost and disruption that transgender in the military would entail thank you.”

The Defense Department and the Pentagon were caught off guard and sent out a tweet to all news outlets that said “The president sprang this new order without alerting us to the new policy. We will continue service medical and otherwise until The Commander In Chief gives the Defense Department a written formal directive to expel transgender service men, Mr. President please lay out orders clear to “The Fleet.” Will Transgender people get honorable discharge? Will they get their full benefits? Will they round off the reported 1,320 – 6,630 Transgender service men? To me, the way Trump moves reminds me of what we used to call a “Shit Starter”, one of those who is an instigator!

lgbt 1
I SAY WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN LIFE AND DEATH ARE AT STAKE?

Sarah Huckbee, the new White House press secretary (after Sean Spicer quit) said, “Transgender service erodes military readiness and unit cohesion.” The biggest point they are pushing, which is B/S, is the medical costs the military cover, but many Americans have joined the U.S. armed forces for medical and other insurances like dental, health, life and others. Yes, your tax dollars could pay for gender reassignment surgery, but please remember that your tax dollars have been paying for thousands of bigots and pure racists that have long time roots in the U.S. armed forces. Trump’s decision marks a setback for the rising awareness Transgenders have made in the last 10 years. The LGBT rights committee have condemned the actions of the president. The American Civil Liberties Union and the LGBT leaders called the decision “outrageous and desperate.” This is the same man whom, during his 2016 campaign (A campaign of lies), said “I will strongly defend the LGBT community” and almost wrapped himself in a rainbow flag while on stage.

lgbt 2
FAKE AND PHONY, PLAIN AND SIMPLE! #NotMyPresident

I’ve been following government for longer than I have been writing. My mother stressed the importance of learning the system that binds us and has freed us. This is the most dysfunctional administration of all time with zero respect for the office. I say no one should care and service men/women put their lives on the line. If someone has to pull you from a blown up Hummer, would care about their sexual orientation or gender? That’s another point our webmaster and I (a man who served in the Armed Forces) disagree on. I have not nor would I ever! His point is the opposite. He is against Transgenders in the military because of the main point of paying for surgery. My stance is conflicted. I have a family member who is gay and we went through it. We weren’t talking for years, but through time and him stressing our bond as brothers over his sexual choice, I got over it. Morally, I believe it is wrong, but that’s your fight with God in the end. I say live and let live.

“SHAME OF LIFE”……..IS REALIZING YOUR OPPORTUNITIES/BREAKS AFTER THEY ARE LONG GONE

shame lead
THE SHAME IS TO GROW OLD AND YOUR BODY NOW BETRAYS YOU AND YOU LIVE WITH “WHAT IF”

You’re stuck in the middle of the work week, grinding for someone else to make them rich. True enough, this is the opportunity to help advance and begin your personal elevation. For the majority of Americans this is “your” pathway to success. However, never let a job be your final outreach. Bring something to the table for the enrichment of life and create a product or service no one can produce better than you. It’s the connection, the manifestation of you and your place in the universe. Working for someone else’s dreams… “I was there” too. So I know there is no greater feeling of hopelessness than living from pay check to pay check and just barely making it. It’s just enough to pay bills and get back to another boss or owner’s agenda. That’s living without goals, dreams or a plan. I lean on a saying, a well-said phrase, “People don’t plan to fail…..People fail to plan.” Missed opportunities unacted upon are “The shame of life.” This is a soul wreathing pain and it stings one’s life as he/she reflects on dreams, careers, small business or inventions. They missed the “what if.” What if you would have tried taking that leap of faith, applied for that business loan (many loans are geared towards single mothers, convicts etc.)? Long after you let opportunities slide by you will remember the answers to “Where is my break? When am I gonna be rich?” I can’t wait till my ship comes in!

shame 1
NO RACE HAS A LOCK ON “SHAME”

Everyone gets daily or yearly lifelong chances/opportunities until “life” firmly believes you have given up and some opportunities come small. Sometimes it’s just a thought. Opportunities come small and incomplete like a dream or idea that needs cultivation. I now know this saying is true. “When you move towards your dreams and goals, they move closer to you.” Doors will open and you meet people that are on the same path and like mind.

Opportunity itself is the chance to pursue your dreams following up on opportunities and being of sound mind and good physical health. Having “10” fingers and “10” toes is a blessing unto itself. Ever felt sorry for yourself and then you see a person in a wheelchair blowing in it just to move it? Or seen a blind person navigating through the streets with a cane or dog? It’s a true blessing just to be able to take advantage of “coming opportunities.” Being of sound mind and body is a blessing. The body will soon give out and be unable to do the work like you once could. Aww the gift of youth, but that gives way to wisdom and using your mind to move through the second half of your life. This is maturity over physical prowess.

shame 3
R.I.P. TO YOUR DREAMS AND GOALS…”FEAR AND TIME ARE THE REAL ENEMIES OF HUMAN LIFE.”

Fear is the main factor in man kind’s forward movement. Complacency and loving your hell and being “comfortable” is the killer of dreams and excuses. “Its the Man holding us back” is the cry of young black men. I would rather fail than to have never tried and then later in life see an idea you had come to life by someone else!

What’s the solution? BlackAwarenessFoundation.com is cemented in the solutions for our lives as we develop for generations to come. The solution is take a mature approach to your dreams and goals. First talk to people in that life. Please pick up a book and read up on small business and the areas of your love and skill. More importantly, know that it will take all of you to move yourself to a new tax bracket. My way out to get here was the long route. I saved from my paychecks and “put away crumbs” while planning out a short term goal to put in that two week notice. I took a chance on my writing skills and passion. I started a website and wrote like crazy. I was pitching ideas to magazines, newsoapers and publishing houses (look out for my coming book). Focus on your dream or you can work in your manual labor job until your body gives out and look forward to SSI!! I want better for you! Your kids deserve better from you and if you’re with someone, watch their attitude change when you bring hope and security to the table.

shame did
THAT’S WHY WE, AT #BAF, CELEBRATE THE LITTLE KNOWN HISTORY OF AFRICAN AMERICANS AND THE SACRIFICE THEY HAD TO MAKE…..

This is a new awaking in me and all those who have taken the leap and work for themselves. They understand when I say “I’ve been on a different type of time.” I implore you to “try” the gift you have to give. No one else can do it better than you. I truly believe everyone has a talent and a skill set that can promote business. Don’t limit yourself. Some people’s skill are bringing people together or Social media. I’m just saying it does’nt have to be a product. You’re the “product”! Live well and live long … Time is the enemy of human life!

MALCOLM X “WAVES HE MADE STILL FELT” NOW!

x lead lead 1

DEFINITION OF A TRUE LEADER: DEFENDER OF THE BLACK LIFE

Thank you for joining us as we touch on the everlasting effect that STILL springs from the short spot light and the impact of el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz, better known as Malcolm X. He was born as Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925 and died February 21, 1968. In death, nearly 51 years later, he still draws the love and admiration of a nation steeped in the pains he fought in his later life for. Mr. Shabazz embodies the strength of our resolve.

There is no human life that has moved me to be a tool for the improvement and safety of my people more than he. He moves and connects with so many of us, regardless of the time, because of his humble and criminal beginnings. His trials and tribulations bond to the majority of us. He had courage and rage for the discrimination of US!

This is however, not a profile of the man. During Black History Month, there were personal profiles the B.A.F. had done and Malcom X was not one of them. I feel I would be unable to give the proper profile this American legend deserves! So, I will not give a history or my “one two” on Shabazz, as I normally would for a profile. For this is about the legend that still lives on, the upcoming events, his time, the buildings and schools and the continued beneficial fruits of Dr. Betty and Malcolm X Shabazz today!

Malcolm X has an unspoken respect from the whole of African Americans. Few things unify us. The symbol of the “X” is related to this man all over America by ALL races. That was first. Secondly, the unspoken respect is so deep that it is felt by every black person in America and abroad. I’ve been black a long time and I have never heard any other black disrespect or talk badly about him. Have you? Comedians, talk show (radio or T.V.) writers or others never speak ill of Shabazz. That alone, is a powerful, true testament to his character. He even cheated the pains of being discredited by modern day media like they have humiliated many of our heroes. A permanent way to destroy or bring in to question their legacy or humble them (see Cam Newton).

x 2

MALCOLM X IS THE PRINCE OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN RACE “EVEN INSPIRED THOSE GREAT ONES.”

Let’s focus on the NOW of the symbol of black pride.

There’s a Malcolm X school, a college in Chicago, Illinois. Here’s a short history – it’s a two year college located on the West Side of Chicago. Founded as Crane Junior College in 1911, it was the first of city colleges. This institution of higher learning was renamed to the Malcolm X College despite the fact that he was a “public enemy” of the establishment of America. The address is 1900 West Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL 60612 and the phone number is (312) 850-7000. Just in case you needed that push to further your education. The Chancellor is Ms. Cheryl Hyman and notable alumni are Arthur Goldburg, Bryan Bracey and Esther Golar.

May 19th is Malcolm X Day! The greeting is “happy X day”.

It’s up and coming and an American holiday in honor of civil rights leader, Malcolm X. it’s celebrated on May 19th, which is his birthday, or the third Sunday of the Month of May. The commemoration has legal status in the city of Berkeley, California. It was also proposed in Atlanta, Georgia and Washington D.C. with numerous calls suggesting that it be celebrated alongside Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as a federal holiday. The events sponsored by the Malcolm X Museum and the Dr. Betty Educational Center will host speakers at such places as the Schomburg Center for research in black culture in New York, New York. Last year, they held a special 50th anniversary commemoration of the assassination of Malcolm X. It was held at the Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial. There was a lecture, awards ceremony and an honor dinner for three black women at this 11th annual event.

x 3

OUR ROOTS IN AMERICAN HISTORY

Celebrations, nationwide, will be going down. I want you to be ready for an American holiday. We must keep alive for the black prince of our race in honor of his six daughters Qubilah, Ilyash, Malaak, Malikah, Gamilah, and Atallah and in honor of his legacy and dedication he shows us.

Now, the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Education Center is located at 3940 Broadway and West 165th Street in Washington Heights New York, New York 10032. The phone number is (212) 568-1341. They accept donations. Please feed those who have fed us when we were starving as a nation. They can also inform you of upcoming events. There are also other Shabazz centers all over the U.S.

Yes, Malcolm X is still alive in the memory of others. You live your life for not just your financial and personal accomplishments, but how you’ve touched and are remembered by others (family, friends and the rest of the world). So, let me be the first to say to you, “Happy X Day!”

In your upcoming family vacations and historical celebration and education of your children incorporate Malcolm X in your family’s food.

I thank you for joining us today #YoungBlackHistorian. No one inspires me more than Brother Malcolm! I leave you with the “Tribe of SHABAZZ” copyright 2017

IN THESE NEW DAYS “THE AGE OF TOLERANCE”

Tolerance

To my social world, what it do? The summer is heating up… and I hope “you are too”.

Tolerance is a word hanging in the air of America. Yes, the mass shooting in America, the Chicago violence and most urban environments may seem to counter that, but even these areas are affected by this wave of tolerance or, more reflective of that, is the punishment and defense of this new stance in America. Tolerance, gun charges and assault charges are generating more incarceration time with less leniency than in the past. The burden of being black… When I speak of tolerance, yes, it is the crumbs of tolerance that touch the minorities in America. Mexican immigrants see less of America’s tolerance. Native Americans see less of America’s tolerance in the fight to preserve their very existence as a race. Blacks/Puerto Rican’s, from nine to five in courtrooms across America, can’t tell the tone of tolerance.

Yes, all of this and more is true. But, we have pockets of “minorities” for a reason in the majority population of America. We exist within the majority of white America’s 300 million that are currently in the United States. That’s 77.1 percent. We are black or African American. When you hear “African American”, it means blacks that are born citizens and residents of the United States whose origins hail from Sub Saharan Africa. Our numbers, as of 2015, are 38.1 million. We represent 13.4 percent of America’s population, making us the largest racial minority in America. That is quickly followed by Hispanic and Latino Americans, who by 2050, will pass us up. Other ethnic groups officially listed in the United States census are Asian Americans, Native Americans (Alaska Natives), Pacific Islanders, and now a new listing of Multiracial Americans. The latter, I presume, will soon be the majority in America, as well as the world!

So, I say all that to say this… The tone of such a thing as tolerance and the level it has risen to makes us reflect on it. Like any age movement (technology), we will get left behind. You can see the real time life on the streets in the community, changes. If you’re from the streets, then I give you examples of the youth generation. They are wearing tight, skinny jeans now. Even their sweat pants are tight! This is what the streets used to consider soft or girly.

Spankings and harsh discipline of children are a part of the age. It’s no longer acceptable and even illegal in most states. In times of the past, my mother got at us in pubic. Now, if you spank your child, it’s a private and an “unspoken” understanding between you and them. Just give them that look and they know! Tolerance in the majority of the world has changed America. We’ve come from the era of slavery. The Wild West was a harsher environment than modern times. We’re weaker and have become victims. Laws were adapted to protect the weaker.

The real advances in America comes with tolerance of the LGBT community. As early the 80’s and 90’s, to be openly gay or involved in an alternative lifestyle caused you to be shunned, mocked and in many cases, assaulted. At one time, people in this lifestyle would rather die than expose themselves. Now, the LGBT community are ameshed in our everyday culture. So much so that it’s no longer politically correct or acceptable to verbally or physically assault them. It’s a hate crime! On the legal side, the Hate Crime Sentencing Act (28 U.S.C. 994) was part of the 1994 crime bill that will enhance your sentence 10-35 years if your case falls under a hate crime for race, religion, sexuality or elderly citizens. The tone of America has changed! Where are you on this stance?

Flag

Tolerance; the ability or willingness to tolerate (put up with) something. In particular, the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.

So, the very core of the word’s meaning is that you may not agree, but you will not hinder or publically assault someone’s character. Again, I come back to the LGBT community population. Why have they become so visible in pop culture? It’s simple… their lifestyle encompasses the scope of America. It defies color. It defies religion. White, Black, Latino, Asian, Christian, Jewsish and all races and religions have LGBT representatives. So, they’re loud, proud and will never be cast in the shadows of society again. It’s so amazing to me how African American’s can be opposed to tolerance of any lifestyle. We, of all people, should be understanding. Trust me when I say I come from a true street lifestyle that shunned anything that’s wasn’t hard or street. But, now I see and I am tolerant of the LGBT community. I have a diverse staff and some come from my era and thought. But, I also have staff that grew up with and have lifelong friendships with people of the LGBT community. The tone in America has changed and so must you. Not to embrace it or agree with a lifestyle you may thing is immoral is a simple adjustment for me. It’s their time. They now have the heart of pop culture. I say “can’t knock your hustle”.

Tolerance across the board helps the African American nation. The LGBT community stands up against ALL discrimination that directly affects the plight of African Americans. They speak up for the whole of the LGBT community which definitely includes African Americans (been to ATL lately?). So, my point is that tolerance to true harmony and the betterment for raising a family is the direction we want to travel. The only ones that don’t see or feel the wave of tolerance are people within the gun culture in America like the NRA or those who are poverty stricken. If you’re poverty stricken and a minority, tolerance may miss you. If you exist in the population of the mentally ill, tolerance has no attachment to you. Your hell on earth has more pressing problems than tolerance. If you’re mentally ill and functioning, please seek help and take your prescribed meds. The NRA and gun culture won’t change until the Democrats control the Senate, House and Presidency. So, vote! If you’re broke, tighten your belt and get your money!

Tolerance is America’s norm now and if you live outside this fact then you are outside of tolerance itself. Embrace the majority’s thought and feeling because we know how America can be without it, open faced aggression!

I’m “ALL THE WAY UP”!

SPECIAL U.K. “BLACK” HISTORY POST. OUR BROTHERS/SISTERS FROM ANOTHER LAND. SAME STRUGGLE!

OUR BLACK BONDS ARE DEEPER THAN JUST “AFRICA” & “AMERICA”

uk lead 1

WHAT IS LIFE LIKE AS A BLACK CHILD/MAN/WOMAN IN THE U.K.?

Today we have a special report for your weekend daily diet from your “everything machine” and black culture outlet, BlackAwarenessFoundation.com. As we are all “African”, we have a common bond and through time, a common plight. Whose voice stands and rings out for the collective black nation? Whose voice rings in unison across oceans and countries? Is it the voice of Mother Africa even in her weakened state? Is it the complex that often held back African Americans? What of our closest brothers/sisters of the U.K.? The answer is forth coming so read more. Black blood was in the U.K. (then Great Britain) long before America was even a thought. Our bonds and journey are the most connected (if only in spirit) across the world as it pertains to the “whole” of the black nation. Within the U.K., London has always been a seed of black influence and culture on the world stage. The same story lines that have followed the African to America has followed the African into the U.K. So today we reach out and salute the black life of U.K. as we #BuildBonds through cultural awareness.

SHAPED THE SAME WAY…REBUILT THE SAME WAY…OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF THE U.K.

Special shouts to our good friend across the waters (@BrownDeus on twitter) and our London girl/sister Solider. Told you the U.K. post was coming lol.

In the U.K. “black person” is the usual term used to describe someone of African or Caribbean ethnic background. As I’ve discovered, the youth of the U.K. streets refer to themselves as “black British” and like us, they have gone through stages of racial tags. The old term for blacks back then was “Afro-Caribbean.” What is the U.K., you may ask? Awareness is the key. The United Kingdom (U.K.) is the country of Europe. It’s made up England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with England or more so, London, being the home capitol. London is a global centre of the world and mother to America. The U.K. is more like American life, even more so than Canada because their history is parallel to ours. Canada never went through a slave history. Unlike the USA, their population of “blacks” is only 3 percent compared to ours 13 percent.

Regions of High/Low population of “Blacks” In the United Kingdom (U.K.)
England: 1,846,614 (3.5 percent)
Scotland: 36.178 (0.7 percent)
Wales: 18,276 (0.6 percent)
Northern Ireland: 3,616 (0.2 percent)

There are a total of 2 million blacks in the entire U.K. and of that, 95 percent live in London. The religion in the U.K. also resembles the USA with Christianity being the main faith at 69 percent then Islam at 15 percent and “others” making up only 7 percent. The U.K. suffered through the slave trade just as we in the USA did. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Great Britain introduced the tri-continental slave trade to the world!

At this time BlackAwarenessFoundation.com would like to tell you a personal story from London of the discrimination/hardship and the same injustice shared between the Africans of the U.S and the U.K. Our viewership expands outside of the shores of America and an out cry for justice caught my eye. A mother is filled with heartache and the soulful pain of not knowing. The injustice is magnified in the U.K. from sheer lack of black lives (population). Remember Great Britain, more so than any other nation, is responsible for slavery itself. They suffer without mass media attention like the USA. One such case I must bring to your attention is the case of Ambrose Garfield Gene Ball. He was born 2/3/84 to his mother Toni Lovell. She is a faithful follower of our efforts at BlackAwarenessFoundation.com. Ms. Lovell lives in London. Her twitter is @TONILOVELL1ST. She is suffering a great loss. A violent act occurred in 2014 and her son has yet to come home. This is a case of cover up. Just look at her twitter. The tag line says “COVERING UP THE TRUTH.” Nothing has satisfied her soul. A body was presented to her, but she says this is not her son (a mother knows… or wants to know). The cover up goes to the top of London’s law. I say the powers that “be” are across the sea as well. We are bonded to the same injustice and plight. We hope Ms. Lovell finds peace. Being a black man whom leads the black family, I’ll say it even if you can’t! Young Mr. Ball if you are with God, Rest In Peace!

SHORTLY BEFORE HE WAS LOST

The U.K. is filled with black leaders and heroes/heroines of the Civil rights movement. It never happened on a major scale like the USA, but it grew gradual and steady. We will honor some of U.K.’s greats.

BLACK IMPACT AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE U.K.

uk 1

ONE OF THE FIRST BLACK ACHIEVERS IN U.K. HISTORY IGNATIUS SANCHO (1729-1780)

One of the earliest remains of African life was uncovered in the U.K. The skeleton of what the world is calling “Beachy Head Lady” is the first known black British. The first known influential black person in England was Ignatius Sancho (1729-1780). He was the first published writer in England and the first known black person to vote as well.

uk 2

DO YOU KNOW PABLO FANQUE? HE’S ONE OF THE FIRST BLACK ENTREPRENEURS IN U.K. HISTORY

In the early 19th century, as in the USA, rare was any African with wealth, but Pablo Fanque was the exception in the U.K. As a role model to black British youth, he was the owner of a thriving circus in early Victorian England.

uk spc

A TRUE LEADER OF THE CIVIL SALVATION OF THE U.K.

Olaudah Equiano (1745-1797). The world knows of the plight of Equiano. He was pivotal in the British abolitionist movement. His writings inflamed the times and he was jailed and almost sold back into slavery. His autobiography was one the first written accounts by a black man/woman with a “first hand account of slavery.”

uk 3
Allow me to introduce to you, Mary Seacole!!!!

Mary Seacole (1805-1881) was born a free woman from Jamaica. Ms. Seacole came to England and experienced racism just as other blacks. She was shocked by this, but itvdid not sway her love of mankind and medicine. When the Crimean War began, Seacole enlisted as a nurse on wounded care duty, but was promptly denied because of her race. She independently set up a make-shift hospital in an old British hotel to care for the wounded of all races and was honored as a hero years later. She lived her life out in London.

uk 5
THE “Godfather” OF U.K.’s MULTICULTURALISM, BROTHER STUART HALL (1932-2014)

Stuart Hall (1932-2014). Closer to the times of now, we focus on Mr. Hall. He hailed from the U.K. as the “Godfather” of Multiculturalism. He was also a favorite on the world famous news station BBC. Hall was the face of the black image in the U.K. and was considered by all as Britain’s leading intellectuals and political campaigners. He pioneered the academic study of low (poverty stricken) and the highbrow (the 1 percent/ Upper class) culture in areas of media. He identified as biracial. Hall was a true credit to the blacks of U.K.

JUST AS WE AT BLACKAWARENESSFOUNDATION.COM ARE CONNECTED TO THE BROTHERS/SISTERS IN THE U.K. …SO IS THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT! UNITY IS THE KEY!!!

We share with our brothers and sisters the aim of all blacks. We stand together, but we stand as the voice for all. African Americans have the base of masses of “Action of Black lives” in our hands if by no other way than sheer numbers.

Love our creativity and the contribution of our brothers and sisters in the United Kingdom. I’m posting from the entire love of our race.

YOU ARE NEVER TO OLD TO FIND OUT WHO “YOU” ARE #O.J.SIMPSON

oj lead
HAPPY WHEN ANY AFRICAN AMERICAN (except sex-offenders) WINS IN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM #O.J.SIMPSON. BUT FOR ME TOWARDS O.J. THAT’S WHERE THE LOVE ENDS!

Do you know the elation of “winning” in court or at the Parole Board? There is an instant stress-relief when hearing “Not Guilty.” Ingrained in our slave conditioning as much as fear, is the expectation of losing in the justice system. So we, at BAF, send congrats to O.J. Simpson and his family for his victory. But for me, that’s where the love ends. Its true that I, like every African American, felt a pridful victory when Simpson was found Not guilty for the murders of Nicole Brown/Ron Goldman. Like many young black males of that time, all I knew about O.J. was that he was an exceptional NFL running back and he made a lot of B-class movies lol. With maturity in my understanding of African American culture and the duty of the black life, I grew to know O.J. and truly thought he was above the discrimination of being black in America. I thought he could just take the best of his heritage “athletic ability” and shed the ills of being black in America behind him. O.J. embraced the superficial white world of “Hollywood” and just turned his back on “that which he came”, that little Black boy from San Francisco, California. I grew to know O.J. Simpson was an Uncle Tom times 10! From my investigation, he never came back nor gave back to the black communities, not even a hand up to some young poor black athlete.

oj 4
Some of the most stinging words I’ve ever heard “I AIN’T BLACK, I’M O.J.”

Since he was nine and running that football he has been in the spotlight. Today and all week, once again, O.J. is in the light, but now he feels the shadow and knows himself a bit better. You can run, run Run… but never fast enough to run past your race!

Now the 411 on his Parole Board Hearing: The world knows by now that the Juice is loose. On Thursday, 7/20/17 the Nevada parole board granted Orenthal James “O.J.” Simpson, born in July 9, 1947 (70 years old) his long overdue parole.

oj 1
Words Famed….”NEVER TO YOUNG TO DIE…NEVER TO OLD TO LEARN!!!!

In 2008, at age 66, Simpson was convicted of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping, earning a sentence of 9-33 years. The deeper story was it was pay back for beating the murder trial years earlier. Thursday the parole hearing testimony was given for Simpson by his oldest daughter Arnelle. With heavy emotion, shr said “He’s my best friend,y rock.” Even the victim testified “Simpson has served to much time for the crime.” Also, just because you get granted Parole, it doesn’t mean you walk out A.S.A.P. You have to serve the least of your time a sentence of 9-33 years, which means at least nine. For Simpson, that arrives on Oct. 1, 2017. Until then, he will remain at the Lovelock, Nevada prison.

oj 2.1
HE LET THEM BUILD HIM UP (build yourself)..TO TEAR HIM DOWN (the fate of selling out your race)

Malcolm LaVergne, Simpson’s attorney, was confident his client would get parole the second time up, but said of Simpson “He is such a polarizing figure, anything could have happened.” At the parole hearing Simpson had a support system of his daughter Arnelle Simpson, his sister, Shirley Baker and Simpson’s long time friend, Tom Scotto. It wasn’t the Award committee, Hall Of Fame Reps, Bills GM or his College football coawasnt. Naw not all. Those are who built the image and head of O.J. He just had his family. Remember in this life what is real….

oj last
NOTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE SAID WHEN MALCOLM SPEAKS………

I know O.J. feels the betrayal of the lie. He lived the illusion of living and being “white” like Stacey Dash. He learned that when they are finished using you, they dismiss or discredit you. O.J. knows family and the black culture is always the foundation. Its something one can’t run away from. In the Mark Furman tapes (a cop who was found to be racist in the murder case) said in the tapes “This N….. is trying to blame whites for this. The same whites who gave him this life.” I deplore sell-outs, but I must also be careful not to over judge. A man’s journey to himself has no timeline, early or late.

SO CALLED “BLACK ON BLACK” CRIME. AND THE ANSWER BACK FROM BLACKS!

blk on blk

Peace to you, from the heart: Today’s post deals directly with the stance that radical whites take when dealing with blacks and crime. They always say the number one killer of blacks are other blacks! They are not seeing every race’s number one killer and committer of crimes are the same race! Whites kill whites, Asians kill Asians and so on. See our defense of this old excuse.

The criticism against BlackLivesMatter was on ten! One of the strongest negative points is AllLivesMatter. To this, it’s so obvious that only the racially naïve falls into that mind frame. The second point has a long history of excuses by White America and the conservatives, regardless of color. It’s black on black crime. BLM doesn’t speak on this matter.

“If they care so much about black lives, why do they kill each other”?

“More blacks kill blacks than cops do”.

“Black on black crime is what’s smothering the urban areas”.

There are thousands of phrases people use. The reality and rightism of black on black crime – let’s talk about it. The foundation of any same race crime is lack of respect. For blacks, it’s a deeper self-hate. Many intelligent and wise people take it for granted that the masses have knowledge of the fruits of racism, slavery or genocide. But, the aftermath (fruits) of centuries of racial oppression affects us. There is an overall negative imagery that whites cast on blacks like… black is evil. This is based on religious books. As white as the light… as black as darkness. But in human skin color, the definition of color and labels belong to man not God! I aint gonna go too deep, but just understand where your pain and frustration really comes from!

BBC 3

Victims of being victims:

During the “seasoning” of slavery, the mental breakdown was geared towards submission without overseeing. It was geared toward mental conditioning.

• Black life is worthless
• Black inferiority (see yesterday’s post about the book “Brainwashed” by Tom Burrell)
• Conditioning Methods
A) The killing of black men in front of their women, especially pregnant women, and children to instill fear.
B) They kept men and women naked as much as possible to induce shame.
C) They limited education and basic principles like reading and writing to produce ignorance on a racial level.
• Killing, jailing and removing the man/father to weaken the family structure.

These things forced the mind set of black inferiority. It’s a conditioning that black life is lesser than the light, right and might of white. Centuries of this went on. Not even black cats are safe from prejudice, lol. They’re supposedly bad luck.

Now, the reality of that and the systematic action, combined with environmental oppression, injects a consciousness of black inferiority. Poor people are living close together (misery loves company) and the frustrations of ghetto life produce crime. The victims are the weak, the old and the very young. They are hostage to the prime predators. Living situations mimic the food chain of the world’s wilderness. The phrase “America feeds off its young” means it feeds off the wealth of the minority’s young. Latin Americans suffer as well and Native Americans suffer from the same fate. All of this resonates in black on black crime.

Yet, this is the natural order of oppressed living. If you over populate any animal in tight living spaces, it will produce fighting. This is the natural order of negative living conditions. That’s why when you go to the suburbs or rural areas, crime is lessened. Its space that mammals need, a territory and area to exist.

blk on blk crime

THE FACTS ARE TO MANY OF US, FALL TO US. DESPITE THE OVER DRAMA “THEY” PLAY IT OUT TO BE!

Envy, hate and jealousy are symptoms of the less educated, unmotivated and those whom suffer from self-hate, even self-racial hate. This is what produces black on black crime.

But, whites, Latins, Asians and all races suffer from same race crime. Yes, it’s true that 94 percent of black victims were killed by black offenders, but that racial exclusivity was also true for white victims of violent crimes. There were 86 percent of whites killed by other whites. Latins were closer at 92 percent. It’s the same for every race. So, why are blacks being posterized as the inventors of same race on race crime? If African Americans are more likely to be robbed, injured and killed by other African Americans, its more because of their living conditions. More often than not, they live in the same neighborhoods as each other. Fact O – of all minority groups in the U.S.A., blacks are more likely to live closer together.

What the hell you think all these rap songs and news reports about the stress and war of conditions in these hoods and ghettos are saying? It’s a message that it’s fucked up round here!

Fact O – African Americans are not more or extra criminal than other race. The nation, as a whole, has actually declined in criminal offenses. That definitely affects blacks. The crime rate amongst African Americans (especially youth) has taken a sharp drop of nearly 12 percent across America. In the historically high crime ridden city of Washington D.C., fewer than 10 percent are in gangs and every major crime offense dropped by 7 to 15 percent. The F.B.I.’s yearly crime report shows that the black crime rate is the lowest it has been in 40 years. The highest was during the Ronald Reagan years of the 80’s.

So, when you hear this argument, raise your voice because WE ARE making strides! Teachers, preachers and parents are taking responsibility. Access to black pride literature and Obama’s presidency has changed the flow of negativity and pushed us with the current instead of against it. By the way, the highest race on race crime comes from Native Americans. They commit 97.7 percent of all violent crimes against each other and 96 percent of that happens on Reservations. Don’t you see, it’s their living conditions!

So, as we travel on this climate of change, let not the myths outweigh the true facts. But, brothers and sisters, there’s room for improvement. Over 90 percent is far too high! Love and respect for all human life is our next goal. Help us improve or move from our harsh living conditions. It’s mandatory for our health. This is our come up, so don’t you dare give up!
